Before I began my internship at RSM Richter Chamberland, I had imagined my summer would be a certain way. However once I started to work, it was much better than I expected.
Everyone I worked with was very nice and helpful. It was wonderful working with such a great team that taught me a lot about accounting. Not only did I get the chance to work on mandates, do assignments and external/internal stages but I also got to do some teambuilding and participate in Community Day.
I really enjoyed Community Day. It gave the entire firm the opportunity to help out various organizations for one day. I went to “Aux Quatres Poches” and painted a room for 3 little girls. I have never painted before in my life. I never thought that it could be so much work, yet so much fun at the same time. Best of all, it was nice to see how everyone at “Aux Quatres Poches” appreciated all the work that we did for them.
After the community day, there was a 5 à 7, where everyone had the chance to relax and talk about their day, and dance to celebrate our hard work
Community Day was a very different and interesting experience for me since I have never worked for a company that actually closed for an entire day to do volunteer work. Different RSM Richter Chamberland employees were able to work together as a team and help out others at the same time.
