Nice weather, tons of energy and lots of smiles: the perfect setting for an amazing Community day! No question about it, I was part of an exceptional team on Wednesday, June 2nd 2010 for Community Day. Our mission was to repaint 5 rooms in a youth center located on Fleury Street. Jonathan, another summer student, and I were assigned to repaint Alex’s room. We had to work no later than 4:00 PM when Alex came back from school. We gave it all that we had and finished around 3:58…! When Alex came in, he was all smiles and told us: “Wow, it looks great! Thanks!”Jonathan couldn’t stop smiling either. I’ll never forget that moment.
I am very proud to have been a part of such a great initiative as Community Day. I’m looking forward to participating for many years to come!
